Jurnal Arsitektur Komposisi https://ojs.uajy.ac.id/index.php/komposisi <p>KOMPOSISI ARCHITECTURE JOURNAL is a forum to collect and communicate research results and scientific concepts as well as knowledge in the field of architecture and built environment in the form of articles written based on research: research articles, articles on ideas (conceptual ideas), reviews of research processes , a review of new books, exposure to architect figures and their thoughts, and other scientific works related to architectural phenomena. The Kompisisi Architecture Journal was published for the first time in 2003, with 2 editions published every year, up to 2011. Since 2012 it has started to emerge with a new pattern, namely one volume consisting of 6 editions and each edition consisting of 7 articles. Since the publication of volume 13 in 2019, the Jurnal Arsitektur Komposisi has been published a year in one volume in the October and April editions. Each publication contains 7 scientific journal articles. This publication pattern is continued and applies further if there are no changes.</p><p><span>The Journal of Architecture Composition is published twice a year, in April and October. The deadline for submitting manuscripts for the April edition is no later than March the 1st, and the October edition is no later than September the 1st. Submissions after this deadline will be entered into the next period. Authors are requested to use the MENDELEY application to manage references to manuscripts, because since 2019 editing of journal manuscripts has been using MENDELEY and has become one of the requirements that must be met.</span></p><p><span><span>Jurnal Arsitektur Komposisi terbit 2 kali setahun, yaitu April dan Oktober. Batas waktu akhir penerimaan naskah untuk edisi April paling lambat 1 Maret, dan edisi Oktober paling lambat 1 September. Lewat batas tanggal tersebut akan dimasukkan periode terbit berikutnya. Pembangunan berimbang didengungkan untuk mengimbangi kebutuhan dan menumbuhkan daya beli masyarakat dengan memberi pilihan perumahan yang terjangkau bagi kalangan menengah ke bawah. Rusunawa merupakan salah satu turunan dari kebijakan rumah berimbang, yaitu dari kebijakan KotaKU untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Awal tahun 2020 dihebohkan dengan munculnya kasus pertama COVID-19 di Indonesia sehingga menyebabkan perubahan pada pola kehidupan, tidak terkecuali di Rusunawa. Perubahan pola kehidupan dari hunian horizontal ke hunian vertikal membutuhkan adaptasi dari penghuni dan adanya COVID-19 ini menyebabkan bertambahnya variabel penyebab perubahan pola kegiatan dalam hunian. Kegiatan bersama dalam bangunan perlu diawasi untuk mengurangi kepadatan sehingga dapat mengurangi kemungkinan penularan dalam bangunan/terjadinya kluster baru. Virus COVID-19 ini penularannya diketahui utamanya melalui droplet dan dibawa angin dan apabila penghawaan dalam ruang kurang baik akan menyebabkan virus ini mudah menyebar. Karena rusunawa menurut standar diharuskan untuk menggunakan penghawaan alami, dalam perancangan perlu dipikirkan cara memaksimalkan penggunaan penghawaan alami. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara identifikasi kepadaatan dalam ruang dengan space syntax dan pengaruh pengahwaan alami dalam mitigasi COVID-19 dalam bangunan rusunawa bertingkat tinggi.</em></p><div class="WordSection1"><p><strong><em>Kata kunci: penghawaan alami, kepadatan dalam ruang, COVID-19</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstract:</em></strong><em> Population density in Indonesia due to the population growth, especially in Jakarta, triggered the construction of high-rise residential buildings to maximize land value capture. Balanced development is buzzed to offset the needs and grow the community's purchasing power by providing affordable housing options for the lower middle class. Rusunawa is one of the derivatives of balanced housing policy, namely from Kotaku policy, to meet these needs. The beginning of 2020 was horrendous with the emergence of the first case of COVID-19 in Indonesia, causing changes in life patterns, not least in rusunawa. Changes in life patterns from horizontal to vertical settlements require adaptation from residents, and the presence of COVID-19 leads to increasing variables causing changes in activity patterns in the settlement. Joint activities in buildings need to be supervised to reduce density to reduce the possibility of transmission in buildings/occurrence of new clusters. The COVID-19 virus is mainly transmitted through droplets and carried by the wind, and if the air conditioning in the room is not good, it will cause the virus to spread quickly. Because rusunawa, according to standards, is required to use natural air conditioning, in design, it is necessary to think about how to maximize the use of natural air conditioning. Wilayah Indonesia merupakan wilayah yang rawan bencana, seperti gunung berapi, gempa tektonik, banjir, dan tanah longsor. Kesiapan bangunan sementara untuk korban bencana masih kurang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan juga kuran dapat cepat dalam pembangunan. Bamboo merupakan pilihan utama untuk bangunan pasca bencana karena mudah didapat dan mudah dikerjakan. Namun banyak kualitas bangunan huntara bambu banyak yang tidak dihuni karena kurang layak huni. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan kualitas konstruksi juga nilai fungsinya supaya penghuni tidak menjadi korban kedua dari bangunannya, dengan memperhatikan standart minimum konstruksi yang baik rumus 4S+1D yaitu stabil, strenght, safe, sinergi dan durability. Region Indonesia is a disaster-prone area, such as volcanoes, tectonic earthquakes, floods, and landslides. The readiness buildings against disasters still do not meet the standards of good construction. Post-disaster shelter building with bamboo material already many tried to cope with the disaster because the bamboo material is easily available and easy to do. Quality of bamboo shelters, many unoccupied for less livable. It is necessary for improved functioning of shelters by taking into account the minimum standards of good construction, 4S + 1D formula that is stable, strong, safe, synergies, and durable. In architectural education’s design studio, its usage begins and important at idea exploration phase to produce design concept, especially on aesthetic aspects. Therefore, a qualitative research was carried out on that design phase for finding the methods and process that can be used. Also, to increase the folklore imaging success on idea sketch. Concluded, some of story’s intrinsic elements and icon are components that well utilized in idea exploration phase. Rumah Sakit Mata Dokter Yap dibangun pada tahun 1923, terletak di Jalan Cik Di Tiro Nomor 5 Yogyakarta di dalamnya terdapat Museum Dokter Yap. Tulisan ini bertujuan menjelaskan gagasan-gagasan dalam perancangan Museum Dokter Yap Yogyakarta agar sosok dokter Yap sebagai tokoh dikenal masyarakat luas. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah studi pustaka, pengamatan lapangan, dan eksplorasi desain. Hasilnya, museum dan di sekitar Rumah Sakit Mata Dokter Yap dibenahi, sehingga pengunjung mudah mengenal dan memahami sosok Dokter Yap sebagai tokoh kesehatan mata di kota Yogyakarta. Doctor Yap Eye Hospital was built in 1923, located on Jalan Cik Di Tiro Number 5 Yogyakarta, in which there is the Doctor Yap Museum. This paper aims to explain the ideas in designing the Yogyakarta Doctor Yap Museum so that the figure of Doctor Yap as a figure is known to the wider community. The methods used in this paper are literature study, field observation, and design exploration. As a result, the museum and around the Doctor Yap Eye Hospital were improved so that visitors could easily recognize and understand the figure of Doctor Yap as an eye health figure in the city of Yogyakarta. Increasing needs of hospital space demands for the new building development and additional space, which is new Lasik Center building. This study aims to achieve the harmony of the facade design between the new building and the heritage one. Symbiotic architecture is used as an approach to find facade designs that combine past and present elements. The research method used is a pattern-based framework to obtain a typology of facade elements from cultural heritage buildings. The results of this study are the facade design of the Lasik Center building with a tropical colonial architectural style combined with a modern style. Shophouse di kawasan Pecinan Bagansiapiapi merupakan salah satu kawasan yang bersinggungan dengan kawasan perdagangan berciri akulturasi budaya Cina dan Melayu. Penggunaan kata ruang pada shophouse di Bagansiapiapi untuk memperjelas perbedaan karakteristik penataan pola ruang dengan shophouse pada umumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interpretive historical research dalam melihat karakteristik pola penataan ruang pada objek penelitian, mencakup tata ruang, orientasi, sirkulasi, hubungan dan hirarki ruang. Tujuan dalam melihat karakteristik diperoleh dengan mengolah dan memproses tata ruang pada shophouse berdasarkan 3 modul tipologi pada kawasan Bagansiapiapi yang di pilih dengan pendekatan snowball sampling. Hasilnya, ditemukan karakteristik pola penataan ruang dalam Shophouse di kawasan Bagansiapiapi dirancang terutama dalam memenuhi aspek fungsionalitas. Hal ini terlihat dengan lorong yang menghubungkan antara bangunan inti dan bangunan servis. Shophouses in the Chinatown area of Bagansiapiapi are one of the areas that intersect with a trading area that has acculturated Chinese and Malay cultures. The use of the word space in the shophouses in Bagansiapipi is to clarify the differences in the characteristics of its spatial arrangement with shophouses in general. This study uses a historical interpretation approach in looking at the characteristics of the spatial pattern found in the object of research which includes spatial planning, orientation, circulation, and relationships and hierarchies in space. The purpose of looking at these characteristics is obtained by processing and processing the spatial layout of the shophouse three typology modules in the Bagansiapiapi area, which was selected with a snowball sampling approach. Greetings, it is known that the characteristics of the spatial planning pattern in the Ruko in the Bagansiapiapi area are designed to fulfill the functionality aspect. This can be seen in the hallway that is connected between the main building and the service building. Indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah aspek bentuk, fisik dan makna. Hasil pada penelitian ini </em><em>adalah</em><em> 1) arsitektur tradisional Jawa dan arsitektur gereja secara signifikan mempengaruhi wujud arsitektur GKJ Manahan Surakarta, 2) akulturasi arsitektur pada GKJ Manahan Surakarta diwujudkan dengan cara mengadaptasi bentuk dari arsitektur tradisional Jawa yang mempunyai kesamaan makna dengan arsitektur gereja, yaitu kesakralan ruang yang membantu jemaat untuk merasakan kehadiran Tuhan di dalam gereja, dan 3) akulturasi arsitektur yang terjadi tidak membuat GKJ Manahan Surakarta meninggalkan jati diri sebagai bangunan gereja yang dalam pelayanan ibadahnya tetap menggunakan tata cara/ liturgi yang sama dengan Gereja Kristen Jawa lainnya. </em></p><p><strong><em>Kata Kunci: </em></strong><em>akulturasi arsitektur, Gereja Kristen Jawa, bentuk, fungsi, makna</em></p><p><strong><em>Title: Architectural Acculturation in the Javanese Christian Churches (GKJ) Manahan Surakarta: Emphasis on the Building's Form, Function, and Meaning</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstract: </em></strong><em>The aim of this research is to investigate the architectural acculturation that occurred in the Javanese Christian Church (GKJ) Manahan Surakarta with an emphasis on the relationship of form, function and meaning of the building. The methodology used in this research is descriptive, analytical and interpretive based on the results of field studies. The indicators used in this research are the aspects of form, function and meaning.
