Abstract

The cafe industry in Palangka Raya is growing rapidly along with the trend of coffee drinking culture and the need for socializing places. The many choices of cafes make it difficult for visitors to determine the choice that suits their preferences. For this reason, a decision support system is needed to help choose a cafe effectively and according to their interests. This study designs a website-based cafe selection decision support system using the Weighted Product (WP) method and the Waterfall method for software development. The Weighted Product method is used to provide rankings based on criteria such as food prices, drink prices, facilities, operating hours, service quality, atmosphere, and distance from the Big Roundabout. The system has two access rights, namely admin and visitor. Admin can manage user data, alternatives, criteria, sub-criteria, and assessments. Visitors can see the list of cafes, choose criteria, see calculations, and the results of the recommended cafe rankings. System testing was carried out using the blackbox testing method. The test results showed that all functions on the website run as expected and can help visitors in choosing a cafe.
