<p>Colonialism is a siginificant factor in establishing the plantation system in indonesia as a new socio-economic system. The political economy of the colonial agriculture introduced a new system in local areas, changing the economic system from rural subsistence to export oriented agriculture in the case of the kendeng lembu area, particularly at the postcolonial times, fluctuations in the development of plantation have been related to the project of de-colonization in political and economic areas. Despite that the processes of decolonization, social system and structure in the kendeng lembu's plantation seem to be a mimicry of the colonial plantation system heritage </p>
