Abstract

This study attempts to describe the views of parking attendants, as representatives of lower-class communities, regarding the new government after the 2024 elections. Qualitatively, through interviews with 10 informants in Yogyakarta, they revealed high hopes for improvements in the economic, education, and health sectors, and the eradication of corruption. The informants also highlighted the importance of inclusive political communication and the sustainability of previous government programs, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), the Non-Cash Food Security Program (BPNT), and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). They also highlighted improvements in employment and public services.
