Inovasi Scaffold Hidrogel Berbasis Selulosa Eichhornia sp. dengan Biomassa Chlorella vulgaris untuk Terapi Ulkus Diabetikum

Ulkus diabetikum dapat menyebabkan amputasi dan kematian akibat lambatnya proses penutupan luka. Kondisi ini diperparah oleh penggunaan perban konvensional yang berpotensi menimbulkan akumulasi eksudat dan meningkatkan risiko infeksi. Sebagai alternatif, scaffold hidrogel dapat digunakan untuk menjaga kelembapan luka sekaligus membantu mencegah infeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi karakteristik scaffold hidrogel berbasis selulosa eceng gondok (Eichhornia sp.) pada konsentrasi biomassa Chlorella vulgaris 0,05%, 0,3%, dan 0,8%, serta dampaknya terhadap penyembuhan luka. Metode mencakup preparasi biomassa Chlorella vulgaris, purifikasi selulosa, formulasi scaffold hidrogel, uji karakteristik, serta uji penyembuhan dan histologi. Analisis statistik dengan one-way ANOVA serta uji lanjut Tukey. Hasil menunjukkan scaffold hidrogel alga (SHA) 0,8% memiliki ikatan hidrogen kuat, makropori dengan persebaran sel Chlorella vulgaris, daya serap tertinggi, kekuatan mekanik baik, diameter daya hambat 0,72 cm, penurunan bobot 90% dalam 8 hari, serta luka yang sembuh dalam 14 hari dan mencapai tahap remodeling. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa SHA 0,8% memiliki karakteristik terbaik secara keseluruhan dan penyembuhan luka mencapai tahap remodeling dalam waktu 14 hari.
