Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative.

Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Biota : Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu-Ilmu Hayati has a policy of screening for plagiarism. We use Anti-Plagiarism Software "Turnitin" to check the authenticity article. The acceptable Turnitin percentage is maximum 20% in the similarity report.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript will be evaluated first by the editor, whether it is suitable for Biota : Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu-Ilmu Hayati focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and checking similarity score using Turnitin. The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers with the Double Blind Review system. All manuscripts are subject to peer review and authors can expect a decision, or an explanation for the delay, within 2 months of receipt. Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses. The corresponding author should submit the revised manuscript within 2 weeks. Afterward, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
