Abstract

This research, which is based on white soil, is a collaborative study of Architechture  Unwira students in the subject matter of Building Materials and Lecturers, to find alternative building materials from local natural potential. Kupang has the potential for rich white soil. Researchers and students think of making direct use of white soil with prints used in printing bricks so that the general public can make it themselves. This manually made white earth brick,
we don't add sand because the lab research shows that the white ground of kupang already contains 30-65% sand. While rice husk ash is used because it has a positive influence on the increase in compressive strength / can increase compressive strength, reduce cement usage, and lighter weigh. After going through the testing phase, it turns out that the white ground brick mixed with rice husk ash and cement can reach a maximum compressive strength of 40.32kg / cm² at 7 days and 83.7kg / cm² at 28 days. . his compressive strength is higher than previous studies using clay mixed with cement which reached 39.1 kg / cm² (Bebhe, 2017). In addition, from the measurement of brick weight, it turns out that the brick with a mixture of rice husk has a lighter weight than that which is not added by rice husk.
