Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how the development of Kampung Pring in Kebonsari Village leverages the creative economy, local culture, and educational tourism to empower the community. This research used a qualitative approach and case study as its methodology. To obtain data, village officials, Kampung Pring managers, bamboo craftsmen, and community members directly involved in tourism and cultural activities were involved through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study demonstrated that bamboo plays a significant role as an ancestral heritage, has economic value, and is a key element in the cultural identity of the Kebonsari community. Community-based tourism, which emphasizes cooperation, role-sharing, and cross-generational involvement, is the foundation of Kampung Pring's innovation. In the cultural sector, innovation is evident in maintaining the philosophical value of bamboo, the conservation principle of "nebang kudu nandur," and organizing the Bamboo Bride Festival (Festival Pengantin Bambu) to preserve and express culture. However, this study also identified key challenges, namely limited funding and a decline in the regeneration of bamboo craftsmen due to changes in the economic perspectives of the younger generation. Overall, Kampung Pring demonstrates that village innovation based on local potential can help strengthen communities, preserve culture, and develop educational tourism sustainably.
