Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Atma Inovasia (JAI) are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Initial Screening
Each submission is first assessed by the Editor-in-Chief for:

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope

  • Clarity and language quality

  • Compliance with the Author Guidelines

Manuscripts that meet these criteria are forwarded to reviewers; those that do not may be returned or declined.

Review Process
The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers under a double-blind review system. Reviewers do not know the author’s identity, and authors do not know the reviewers’ identities. Evaluation focuses on the following components:

  1. Content relevance to the topic – Alignment with the aims and scope of JAI.

  2. Completeness of content elements – Inclusion of all key sections such as abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion, and references.

  3. Depth and scope of discussion – Quality and depth of analysis in addressing the research problem.

  4. Recency of references (within the last 10 years) – Use of up-to-date and relevant literature sources.

Reviewer’s Role
Reviewers provide detailed and constructive comments to improve the manuscript. Their comments are sent to the corresponding author for necessary revisions and responses. The suggested decision from reviewers is then evaluated then the editor communicates the final decision to the corresponding author.

Plagiarism Screening
All submissions are checked using TURNITIN. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% (excluding references) will be rejected.

Editorial Decision
The Editorial Board makes the final decision on each manuscript, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the author’s revisions. For manuscripts accepted without revision, the Editor-in-Chief issues a Letter of Acceptance (LOA), and the article proceeds to copy-editing and production.
