Pengembangan Modul Evakuasi Erupsi Merapi berbasis Pendekatan Semi Bottom-up
Keywords:

Volcanic eruptions, particularly those of Mount Merapi, pose serious risks to human safety and socio-economic continuity. In Deles Village, evacuation mechanisms are still dominated by oral information and lack structured written guidance. This program aims to develop a contextual and easy-to-understand evacuation module, based on official disaster guidelines and local wisdom, to improve community preparedness. Methods include a review of disaster regulations, collection of official data, field observations, risk and evacuation-route mapping, and interviews with key informants and village officials. The program produced local and general evacuation modules (Indonesian and English) that cover hazard recognition, go-bag preparation, evacuation procedures and routes, shelter rules, and role sharing among residents. The modules were printed and disseminated through community socialization activities and received requests for wider household-level distribution. The evacuation module clarifies evacuation flows and strengthens disaster response capacity at the community scale.
