Analisis dan Perancangan Alat Bantu Monitor Brand Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta di Situs Jejaring Sosial Twitter

Abstract. Brand monitoring has become an important task for any individual or corporation along with the growing development of social networking sites. Positive images of a brand are very important so it is wise for the brand owner to make observations to the comments provided by public about the brand on social networking sites. Brand monitoring can be carried out by using software as a tool to automatically capture data from Twitter associated with the brand of University of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Brand monitoring tool can be useful to know the public opinions about the brand of Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the opinion can be a consideration to carry out a self examination, to correct mistakes, and to improve their services, and, in the end, to leverage the brand image.

Abstrak. Brand monitoring telah menjadi tugas penting bagi setiap individu atau korporasi seiring dengan perkembangan situs jejaring sosial. Citra positif akan suatu brand sangat penting sehingga bijaksana jika sang pemilik brand melakukan pengamatan akan komentar-komentar yang diberikan oleh masyarakat mengenai brand yang mereka miliki di situs jejaring sosial. Brand monitoring dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan sebuah perangkat lunak sebagai alat bantu untuk mengcapture data-data dari situs jejaring sosial Twitter yang terkait dengan brand Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Jika dikembangkan lebih lanjut, alat bantu ini dapat bermanfaat untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendapat masyarakat (pengguna Twitter) mengenai brand Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Lebih jauh, pendapat tersebut dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk melakukan introspeksi, memperbaiki kesalahan, serta meningkatkan pelayanan dan pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan brand image.
