Types of Manuscripts
The Indonesian Journal of Information Systems (IJIS) publishes high-quality, original scholarly work in the field of information systems and related disciplines. The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles: Manuscripts reporting empirical, theoretical, or design-oriented studies that make a clear and novel contribution to knowledge. Submissions must be supported by a rigorous, well-documented, and replicable methodology (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, case study, or design science), and must discuss the findings in relation to the existing literature and their theoretical and practical implications.
Review/Survey Articles: Manuscripts presenting a critical and systematic synthesis of existing studies, such as systematic literature reviews, scoping reviews, or bibliometric analyses. Review articles must follow an explicit and transparent review protocol (for example, PRISMA), identify research gaps, and propose a research agenda for future work.
All manuscripts must be original, must not have been published or be under consideration elsewhere, and are subject to plagiarism screening, double-blind peer review, and the journal’s Generative AI Use Declaration requirement.
